This Cross Country Ride takes place over a course with beautiful views over the Surrey countryside and takes in the Hampton Estate and land belonging to Rodsall Manor, Suffield Farm, Lascombe Farm and Puttenham Common and is open to all age groups but children under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There are approximately 40 jumps on the course varying from 1’6" to 3’3" in height and is approximately 8 miles long crossing private woodland, farmland and commons. We are very fortunate to sometimes have the use of a 7 furlong gallop. None of the jumps are obligatory - horse and rider will still enjoy the ride which is clearly marked with direction arrows and other markers.

The Ride attracts between 300-500 riders each year from all over the South of England as far away as the Isle of Wight, Kent, Wiltshire and Bedfordshire. Each year there are three Classes – Junior (under 16 years of age), Senior (16-39 years of age) and Veteran (over 40 years of age).

A trophy and an embroidered saddle cloth are presented to the rider in each Class raising the most sponsorship. Free Entry to the next years' Ride is given to each Rider raising in excess of £100 Sponsorship and every rider receives a rosette on completion of the course.

There is ample parking for all vehicles with easy access and exit gates. Stewards will be on duty to guide you to a suitable parking slot.

The Registration Marquee, catering, toilets, photographer and tack shop will be located in the Start Field.

If you have ridden before in our Ride or that of our sister Ride, the Frensham Sponsored Ride, it would help us enormously if you would let us know  what your Post Code was at that time.

Each rider must find their own sponsors and we ask that the money promised is not less than a suggested voluntary donation of £21. Cheques are to be made payable to "Hampton Sponsored Ride".
